Someone recently asked us about a word we could use to describe the past year. When we started thinking about it, we finally concluded that the year 2025 was the year of SCALE. Why? For the past few months, I’ve been working double shifts. The first was the realization of many small projects requiring incredible precision, such as reliquaries and commemorative sculptures. The second is one of our largest projects. You can find our selected projects from the last twelve months below. These are a few examples, which demonstrate the diversity of our work.
The biggest project in our studio.
The biggest challenge of 2025 is out of doubt the 15-meter-tall statue of the Merciful Jesus Christ. We started studio work in June 2025 (design and construction work began a year earlier). Such a large work although divided into parts and completed in stages, requires a completely different workflow. This is really demanding work, both technically and logistically. We don’t want to reveal more at this time, as work is still in progress…
The most emotional project of year 2025.
The most challenging project (emotionally) for me was the Lost Child Memorial in Kluczbork. I designed a bronze sculpture. It depicts a woman and a man holding… an empty space. Next to them is an angel lifting this tiny, lost life towards heaven. Within the space framed by the parents’ arms, there will be a granite sculpture of a fetal child, filled with onyx. The stone will glow in the sunlight, symbolizing the light of life, which, though unborn, will never be forgotten. I am involved in this project not only as a creator, but also as someone who understands its emotional and social value.
A unique reliquary – Blessed Stanisław Starowieyski.
Our studio has already created more than a dozen reliquaries for the relics of saints and blesseds. Saints known to all catholic, such as John Paul II and St. Faustina, as well as those about whom we still know too little, such as Josephine Bakhita. This year, however, we had a special commission: the reliquary of Blessed Stanisław Starowieyski. We commissioned this reliquary from the Catholic Action in Poland. The reliquary was placed in the Temple of Divine Providence in Warsaw. The reliquary houses a second-class (a cross from the Blessed Rosary) relic. Why is this reliquary unique? There are no more relics, so this is a single copy.
An unexpected commission from the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
An interesting project we didn’t anticipate was a commission from the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, which came to me while I was on vacation. We created 30 statuettes based on a pattern from a Marshal’s staff. It was an honor for us to work for such a large state institution.
Sacred Art and Church Interior Design.
Although we completed several designs and projects for church interiors this year, a sculpture (whose story began in 2021) remains in my memory. We had the honor of designing the interior of the Church of Blessed Jerzy Matulewicz in Konin. The next stage of the project was the creation of the church’s furnishings, including a sculpture of Blessed Jerzy Matulewicz. This was a demanding task, as it was a large, semi-spatial sculpture. During this work, we learned more about the life of this extraordinary priest.
The sculpture that brought me the greatest joy in year 2025.
The most joyful project was the creation of a bas-relief of Our Lady of Częstochowa. We completed it for an individual commission. It was a large project, requiring precision, as this particular face of Our Lady is known to every Catholic in Poland (and beyond). Our Lady is particularly close to me. I entrusted her our studio at Jasna Góra. Therefore, working on the sculpture was a form of prayer and meditation for me.
Ceramics and small forms.
In parallel with the large commissions this year, we expanded the offer available directly in our shop. We are constantly creating reliquaries. We’ve developed new figurine designs: Our Lady of the Rosary and Merciful Jesus Christ. They’ll be available for purchase in our store soon. Our regular offerings also include original ceramic forms – crosses and bas-reliefs of sleeping angels.
Sharing Knowledge.
We closed this year also with an educational accent . In December, I led a ceramics workshop at the “Niebo w Mieście” café in Rzeszów. In January, will be the second workshop – glazing completed pieces. These activities allow me to escape from my daily routine in the studio and allows me to interact with people. Some people came to this workshop especially for me. It was very nice…
Working on the Website and Store.
During the first years of our business, we didn’t show our work to the general public. However, more and more people asked us for showing photos of our projects. So that few years ago we launched this website. The next step was launching an online store where you can purchase reliquaries, ceramic crosses, and ceramic angels. This year, we redesigned the website to be more user-friendly and intuitive.
Summary and thanks for year 2025.
These are selected activities we conducted in 2025. But this summary wouldn’t be possible without our clients: parish priests, parishes, religious congregations, institutions, and individuals—all those who have chosen to trust us.
Thank you for this year.
